All the people of the city, dressed in black. When I used to enjoy living in the big city, I used to wear lots and lots of black. "Black is chic" "Black is slimming" "Black goes with everything". Black clothes, jackets, shoes, purses, hair, eyes... But what is the colour black? IS it not the colour of death? When vibrant flowers die, do they not rot into a black slime? When a part of one's body dies, it turns black and falls off. So what happens to the brain of the observer when one sees black? It can't possibly trigger memories of sunsets or sunrises, or the bold flavours and colours of some fruits- it most certainly doesn't remind one of art... So what does the colour black remind the subconscious, by contrast? To remember that darkness exists? To focus on non-life: electronics. paved streets. clocks. being "successful", a "business person" and being part of the body of humans that's systematically killing life on earth. I guess that is fitting. If you're part of the system, taking a paycheque for turning a blind eye to the evil of your employers... then maybe it's best you wear black so the world can correctly identify you as the representation of DEATH that you are. :)
Today I really learned that positivity is so important in your outlook. Instead of focusing on that which we hate or the thing that HURT us, we should focus on imagining a positive outcome! WE should imagine the thing that we desire the most... but that deep thing, not just what we want to eat for breakfast.... The real desire that sits inside the heart.
